Keeping children busy should be more than turning on the television and inserting a DVD or playing a stream of video games. Children’s activities can just as easily involve using their imaginations and ingenuity to engage them. Turning to crafts is a logical step in helping your children tune into their more creative side.

Children’s activities involving crafts can vary from quite simple to much more complex, depending on what will work best for your young ones and what you think will benefit them most while learning something new.

Here are some simple, easy crafts for children of all ages:

  1. Make a Pom-Pom Party. This fun craft should take approximately an hour in your slate of children’s activities. The critical supplies needed for this craft project are yarn, fun roly-poly critters, plastic lids; along with a few other items. Your children will have fun creating fun new character creatures all their own.
  2. Create Some Magnetic Memories. Of the children’s activities, this one is functional, fun and gives your children the chance to use their imagination. Find some plain magnets or magnetic sheets that your children can adorn with any number of different materials. Just make sure you have plenty of glue.
